Episode 159: Lightning Strikes Twice

Hello Fellow ASLer's,
An illustration of the lightning rules from ASL Journal #4
We welcome you to a show that starts out somber, as Dave honors his late father, but soon recovers to celebrate life. There is some coverage of the less important things in life like Advanced Squad Leader.

If you were wondering after listening to the last show "Hey, what about the last few articles in Journal 4?" Well, you are in luck, buster! We finish the last of said articles right here in this episode.  We particularly enjoyed covering the Lightning Rules. What's in the Box? are the wonderful ASL 30th Anniversary precision dice from Battle School.  They Rock (and they roll, After all, they are dice)! Winter Offensive Pack #7 is also in the box. Both it's boards and it's scenarios are reviewed.

  2. The 2 Half-Squads is a special place, because it's more than just a faceless podcast. Dave and Jeff, you include your listeners in your lives and even though Tulsa may be a loooong way from Chicago Land...i feel like part of the 2 Half-Squads family...and not in creepy way!!! Thanks for all you guys do.

  3. Another great episode! I was laughing with tears in freeway traffic listening to the lightening rules, hearing how the single man hit by lightening could be thrown back three hexes AND targeted. That reminds me of my first game when my one Russian leader poked his stupid head over the hill and got blown away. -- By the way, you mentioned another podcast you two do, but I'm having the Dickens of a time finding reference of that podcast here on your "other" podcast homepage (might be a good place to link it!) Dang it. Now I have to listen to this episode again! The horror.
