Episode 221: Adult Sugar; Kiss Emoji

Despite the title of this episode it is, as usual, rated PG. Perhaps Dave and Jeff's natural animal magnetism is to blame. If you are wondering what this conversation is all about you will want to jump right into the letters section where you will be granted understanding as well as access to good old ASL talk. For the most detailed rules discussion, continue to Terrain Time and learn about Narrow Streets. Watch out for that street fighting advantage.

  1. Another great episode as always. I listened to this podcast while working on the latest "Our Saturday Game" series AAR. What a surprise to hear Ryan Ellet's letter. The 2 Half-Squads have a lot of fans who attend the March Madness Tournament. A tip of the hat to Ryan for two great games we got play during the March Madness Tournament. I'm already looking forward to seeing Ryan again at next year's March Madness and maybe even the greatest ASL Podcast Duo in history!!!

  2. I was trying to come up with a good book & movie combination for Spine & Sprocket and finally thought of one. Master and Commander, by Patrick O'Brian was a great book and movie, with a wonderful performance by Russell Crowe. The only thing that bothered me about the movie was that they changed his antagonist from the book's American frigate to French, supposedly because American audiences wouldn't like it- but the American captain was one of his greatest challenges, and basically a tribute to the great skill of the American navy of the time. Also, there's C.S. Forester's Horatio Hornblower books, with three being the basis of the Gregory Peck movie, which I still enjoy. It is also pretty closely follows the books.
